Location: Deer Creek Camp (Medina, TX)
Cost: $200 (includes lodging, meals, supplies, shirt, and bus transportation)

Frequently Asked Questions

• What time will the group depart and return?
  • On Friday, February 27th check-in will be from 5:00pm-5:45pm at Holy Trinity with departure shortly thereafter.  The group will return for 5PM Teen Mass on Sunday, March 1st. This will fulfill the Sunday Mass Obligation. All retreatants will sit together in the Life Teen section. Everyone will be dismissed after Mass.
• What's the theme?
  • Momentum: An Edge Retreat on Childlike Faith
    • This retreat ignites childlike faith in the lives of middle school youth. Jesus encourages all of us to retain a childlike heart. "Momentum" is a retreat designed for middle school youth to discover the richness of our Catholic faith, the joy of being a child of God, the unconditional love of the Father, and the call to share these incredible gifts with those around us. The goal of this retreat is to encourage youth to retain a childlike dependence on God as they mature in faith. 
• What is the lodging like?
  • Middle schoolers will be placed in cabins that have heating/AC. There will be numerous bunk beds in each cabin. A minimum of 2 adults (both VIRTUS Safe Environment trained) will also stay in the cabin. The camp has young men on one side of the camp and young ladies on the other. The bathrooms are an easy walk from the cabins. 
• What occurs on the retreat?
  • The retreat will consist of 4 main sessions, each with a fun activity, a talk provided by a core team member, small group discussion and prayer. There will be opportunities for structured free time, sports, the camp store/coffee shop, and the sacrament of reconciliation. Eucharistic Adoration will be held Saturday evening, and an explanation will be provided as well as praise and worship by the team.
• My child is a picky eater / My child has food allergies. What options will be available for them?
  • We will know the menu closer the retreat dates. We ask all parents who are willing to donate a snack for the youth so they have things to munch on throughout the weekend. Food allergies such as gluten, dairy and nuts can be accommodated; there will be space on the registration form to let us know.
• If my child can no longer attend. What's the refund policy?
  • Due to contracts with the retreat site and bus company, there will be no refunds after February 1st, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
